Piotr Alekseyev
About the Artist:
Piotr Alexeev’s workshop draws on the rich traditions of 18th-19th-century Sakha jewellery, carefully reinterpreting historical pieces using museum collections from Asia. Since creating his first fully handcrafted ceremonial ornament in the early 2000s, Piotr has developed a distinctive body of work that blends heritage with contemporary craftsmanship. His pieces, including earrings, necklaces, belts, and ceremonial adornments, are rooted in traditional forms while carrying a refined, modern presence.
The workshop is known for its meticulous attention to detail and the use of techniques such as oxidised silver, echoing historic jewellery methods. Many of Piotr’s works are held in important collections and have been recognised at major exhibitions, reflecting their cultural and artistic significance.
Today, the workshop continues to create both classic and contemporary jewellery, preserving tradition while bringing it into a modern context.
