About the Charapchy
Traditional Sakha charapchy, snow goggles, were developed as an adaptation to the extreme Arctic environment. In a landscape dominated by snow for much of the year, reflected sunlight can be blinding and even dangerous, causing snow blindness. Sakha snow goggles embody resilience, traditional knowledge, and the deep relationship between Arctic peoples and their land.
